PRE-ASSEMBLED CONSTRUCTION
The LAP20ULH features a welded steel cabinet and arrives fully assembled and ready to use.
POWER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The Power Management System monument, or Brain, mounts above the top shelf and uses a microchip to distribute power and decrease laptop battery heat and electrical stress. As batteries near full charge, the electrical current is reduced to keep batteries within their thermal limit and extend useful life. A push button cycles between three power modes and LED lights indicate what functions are being performed.
Round Robin Mode // monitors the power draw on each 10-outlet electrical bank and provides power to the bank with the most discharged computers. Power needs are regularly evaluated, sending power to the most discharged batteries, allowing all computers to be charged at once from a single power circuit.
Turbo Mode // dedicates power to one power bank, charging 10 computers rapidly.
Auxiliary Mode // shuts power off to both laptop power banks and diverts it to auxiliary outlets on the Power Management System monument for a printer or scanner.
The Power Management System is controlled by an on/off switch and features a 12' power cord.
HEAT DISSIPATION
The LAP20ULH features a perforated pattern on doors, side panels, and the top and bottom shelves to increase air circulation and cool electronic equipment when in use. Additionally, a steel panel prevents the heat released by the power adapters from reaching the laptop computers, keeping the adapters away from the computer batteries, allowing the batteries to stay cooler longer, so that they charge quicker.
LAPTOP STORAGE
Seven full width interior shelves each support up to 3 laptop computers, stored horizontally, for a total of 20 computers in the LAP20ULH cart. One space is left empty. The back panel of the laptop storage area features holes for the power cables stored in the rear Power Adapter Cable Closet to reach each computer. Each laptop space is marked with a label that corresponds with a power adapter shelf and electrical outlet in the rear. The Power Adapter Cable Closet is separated from the laptop computers by a steel panel, which serves as an insulator to reduce the amount of heat produced by the power adapters from reaching the laptop computers and keeping them cooler. The front doors to the laptop storage secure with a user-programmable combination lock, included.
Laptop Compartment Size - 13"W x 15-3/4"D x 3"H
Overall Laptop Shelf Size (3 computers each shelf) - 39"W x 15-3/4"D x 3"H
POWER ADAPTER CABLE CLOSET
Rear doors provide access to the “Cable Closet” where computer power adapters are stored and organized. Each power adapter rests on its own shelf and is secured with a Velcro strap to the cart. Each shelf has a corresponding electrical outlet and shelves and outlets are coordinated with labels. The Power Adapter Cable Closet is separated from the laptop computers by a steel panel, which includes holes to allow the cables to reach the computers. The steel panel wall serves as an insulator to reduce the amount of heat produced by the power adapters from reaching the laptop computers, keeping them cooler. The rear doors to the Cable Closet secure with a user-programmable combination lock, included.
1 AMP ELECTRICAL OUTLET FOR WIRELESS ACCESS POINT
A 1 amp electrical outlet is located inside the Cable Closet to provide power to a wireless router. Power is controlled by the on/off switch on the Power Management System monument and the outlet is always powered regardless of the power mode selection.
AUXILIARY POWER
The LAP20ULH includes auxiliary electrical outlets to power additional equipment such as printers, scanners or other equipment. When the Auxiliary Mode is selected, the Brain isolates the available power and dedicates it to the two auxiliary outlets. In this mode, no batteries are being charged.
UL CERTIFICATION
The LAP20ULH laptop storage cart has been tested by Underwriter Laboratories and certified to comply with UL 60950 Standards for Safety of Informational Technology. Certified for the United States and Canadian markets.
CASTERS
The LAP20ULH features 5” casters, each with swivel capabilities for maneuvering in tight spaces. Two casters may be locked into a fixed position for transporting the cart over long distances. These two lead casters lock straight to provide stability and keep the direction of the cart true when being pushed. This greatly reduces the possibility of a tip over accident with the cart. The other two casters lock so that the cart cannot be rolled. Bumper guards at each caster protect doors and door frames from being scratched.
CART ASSEMBLY
Assembled Notebook Storage Cart has one (1) 42"w x 26"d, 16-gauge steel top shelf, which includes a Power Management System control monument mounted at center rear. The underside of the work surface has two (2) stiffeners and four (4) corner braces all 16-gauge steel. Cart also has one (1) 42"w x 26"d, 18-gauge steel bottom shelf with two (2) stiffeners and four (4) corner braces, all 16-gauge steel. Bottom shelf is welded to two (2) 16-gauge cross beams at the outer edge, front to back, which support four (4) 5" plate casters. Two casters swivel with locking brakes and two swivel or can be locked into a fixed position for control when moving. Cabinet consists of four (4) 1-7/8" square 16-gauge steel corner tubes, six (6) 39"w x 16"d, 18-gauge interior shelves, two (2) 26-3/4"h x 18-1/4"w, 18-gauge outer panels, and one (1) 39w x 26-5/8"d, 18-gauge divider panel separating the laptop compartment from the cable closet. The cable closet has two (2) UL listed, 10-outlet electrical units that attach inside the cart along the side panels. The cable closet includes 21 laptop transformer shelves that protrude through the divider panel and are each 3-1/4"d x 6"w x 3-3/8"h. Electrical transformer units are held in place on the shelves with velcro straps (included) and include cable winders for excess power cords. Front and rear compartments are accessed by four (4) 20-3/4"w x 30-1/4"h, 18-gauge doors, two front and two rear. Doors are overlapped by the top and bottom shelves to deter theft and have multi-point locking system with user programmable, four-dial combination padlocks, locks included. All panels and doors have ventilation holes and cart has two (2) push handles. Each model is finished in powder coat paint. Ships assembled by truck only.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Carts are constructed using “prime” steel which has a 25% to 35% post-consumer recycled content. All steel components are recyclable at the end of the product life cycle. Components are finished in environmentally friendly powder paint that reduces VOCs.
MADE IN AMERICA
